Hi, I'm Joy! I am a documentary wedding photographer based in San Diego, California. My goal is to photograph a narrative of your story as if it came from the perspective of one of your closest friends and family. I'm honored to be invited into moments of laughter, tears, warm embraces and long tender gazes. I'm a laid back observer who never sets down her cameras so you can be present with your loved ones.

I am creatively inspired by the people I document, nature, modern design, classic portraiture, photojournalism, light, and color. I believe film captures a sense of honesty and nostalgia, and I incorporate a variety of digital, 35 mm film, and polaroid mediums when photographing.

As a queer Taiwanese-American woman, I'm passionate about telling diverse stories and cultivating warm welcome environments for people to be themselves. My parents inspire me every day with how they love each other, and I'm lucky to have found the love of my life. Outside of photography, you can find me planning and hosting my next dinner party.
