Hi, I’m Joy, a documentary wedding photographer based in San Diego, California.

My approach is rooted in calm observation, allowing your celebration to unfold naturally. Portraits are gently guided, offering just enough direction to create ease and intention without feeling staged. There is space for movement, humor, connection, and the in-between. All work is documented on film and digital.

As a queer Taiwanese-American woman, I’m an advocate for documenting diverse love stories and creating an environment that feels warm, inclusive, and true. My parents’ love for one another continues to inspire me, and I'm lucky to have found the love of my life. Outside of photography, I’m likely hosting a dinner party and sharing thoughtful conversation.
